Patents for Startups: Opportunity, Necessity or Nuisance?

Save the date- September 26th, 2012! IPfolio, along with IP Checkups, is co-hosting and sponsoring the September LES Meeting, where the topic will be an engaging panel discussion on patent strategy for startups.

The event, being held at the Sheraton Palo Alto, will include a networking luncheon followed by a panel discussion. We’ve put together a great group of industry experts, including Joe Beyers, Chairman & CEO of InventErgy LLC, Dr. Elvir Causeivc, Managing Director and CTO of Ocean Tomo, Matthew Rappaport, Co-Founder & Managing Director of IP Checkups and Terence Spies, CTO of Voltage Security. The panel will look at the best patent strategies for startups, universities and SMEs, all of whom face tough choices when it comes to IP asset management. We’ll also take a look at how startups can protect their IP given the new and controversial changes in the US patent system.

You can grab all of the event details here and registration is now open on theLES website. If you are a start-up, we have a limited number of FREE passes to give away! Please email us asap, as quantities will run out!
